In the sweltering heat BBB returned to its home city of Berlin where iconic denim brand G-Star Raw showed both their fashion and footwear ranges in the old airport hanger – Tempelhof.

Renowned for their approach of Just The Product, G-Star Raw didn’t disappoint for A/W10 with this raw approach. Catwalk shows ran throughout the three days giving a taster of what is to come in New York Fashion Week in September 2009 where G-Star’s on-off experimental couture items will be unveiled.

Oxfam D.I.Y. Camden Store launch

DeVetta PR held a party and fashion show for Oxfam DIY on June 4th prior to the Saturday opening of its new look store. Mrs Jones, celebrity stylists for iconic looks for The Killers, Kylie and The Scissor Sisters, reworked some of the pieces that had previously not sold (nothing donated to Oxfam is ever wasted).

The pieces were then shown during a fashion show. Now on sale along side regular shop at the Camden Store, Mrs Jones will also be holding workshops throughout the month of June both at Camden and at major festivals such as Glastonbury.

Night On The Tiles – Diamonds & Dominoes

DeVetta PR held a Night On The Tiles, an evening of Diamonds & Dominoes at Jessica McCormack’s Clerkenwell salon.

Guests arrived with a will to win and a sparkle in their eye! A rotation of Diamonds & Dominoes was played by a group of competitive editors, stylists, designers and friends. Players who were ‘resting’ sipped champagne and slipped oysters down courtesy of Clerkenwell Kitchen. The winner took all – a 1carat diamond and an appointment for it to be designed and set by Jessica McCormack.

Fash Off! & KTZ Fashion Show – Closing LFW

Partygoers toasted the close of fashion week last night at GHOST, Farringdon Road.
Celebrations kicked off with FASH OFF! and Stimul; magazine hosting KTZ AW2009 catwalk collection – the in-house label from cutting-edge concept boutique Kokon to Zai.

The collection, Future Ghost Tribal is a modern take on armory. Coinage and studding punctuate leather while oversized 90s light-wash denim is given structure with piping in Aztec designs.

Oxfam D.I.Y. Casting

Today we helped our client Oxfam to find a model to star in its next campaign. The fashionable charity was seeking real girls and boys ages 16-40 with buckets of attitude and a sense of style.
Mrs Jones helped to restyle girls and guys by rummaging through Oxfam’s collection of second-hand goods. The hottest boys and girls photographed will then front Oxfam’s DIY campaign.

G-Star Raw New York Fashion Week

G-Star’s NY Raw handcrafted couture garments took center stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom tonight during the Fall/Winter 2009 runway show of the luxury denim brand.

This season’s NY Raw collection represented G-Star in its purest form – magnifying the brand’s signature detailing to an unprecedented level. Each garment, created by the in-house atelier, blended the finest materials and sophisticated design, with extreme utilitarian functionality.

During the show, G-Star introduced its new Raw Icon: Benicio del Toro. The renowned actor, writer and director followed previous Raw Icon Dennis Hopper, who starred in G-Star’s February 2008 runway show.

Marcus Constable Presentation A/W 2009

DeVetta PR held a presentation to key fashion press of Brit Designer Marcus Constable’s A/W 2009 collection at The Mayfair Hotel.

His launch collection inspired by the Thirties and Art Deco uses pleating and 3D shapes in particular.

Already picked up by Liberty for Autumn Winter Marcus, who was the darling of the fashion world 10 years ago and then took a break, is now very much back….watch this space…..!

G-Star Footwear had a dedicated stand positioned in the main denim section of BBB next to the G-Star apparel stand.
